Snabbaste gardinen - Fastest curtain valance

Nu när det går mot vår är solen riktigt bländande. Och varm! När den står som bäst i söder är det nästan jobbigt att sitta vid mitt hobbybord. Förut hade jag vita, ganska genomskinliga längder. Inget skydd mot solen direkt, och inte särskilt roliga heller. Bort med dem!

Now when spring is coming, the sun is really glaring. And warm! When it's at its most southern spot, it's almost hard to sit at my hobby table. I used to have white, rather transparent curtains. No protection to speak of, and not that fun either. Off they go!

In med färg och blommor. Det krävdes bara tre raka sömmar och fem klipp med saxen (inklusive att klippa till snörena) för att bli färdig med den här gardinen. Dessutom går den ju att justera på höjden om man tycker att solen besvärar för mycket. Perfekt!

In with color and flowers. It only took three straight seams and five snips with the scissors (inclusive cutting the ties) to be finished with this curtain valance. Plus it can be adjusted on the height if you think the sun bothers you too much. Perfect!

Nu känner jag mig ganska färdig med min hobbyhörna. Vill ni se hur det ser ut? Vi kan börja med det fulaste hörnet, där jag har mina garner och strykbrädan (som vanligtvis, eller i alla fall ibland, står uppfälld bakom hyllan). Bytte just hylla, förut hade jag alla garner i lådor som jag alltid rotade omkring i. Nu ser jag direkt vad jag har.

I feel quite done with my hobby corner now. Do you want to see it? We can start with the ugliest corner, where I keep all my yarns and the ironing board (which is usually, or at least sometimes, standing closed by the shelf). I just changed the shelf, before I had all the yarn in boxes that I was always digging around in. Now I can immediatly see what I have.

På väggen mittemot har jag tyger, scrapbooking-saker och alla möjliga pysselsaker. Och barnen har ett par hyllor var för sina saker. Här är det alltid lite rörigt eftersom vi är tre stycken som gärna har flera projekt på gång samtidigt! På bordet har jag nyligen bytt duk, från en rörig vaxduk till en lugnare vaxad duk. Den gamla duken klipptes i bitar och används som skydd när vi limmar eller målar.

On the opposite wall I keep fabrics, scrapbooking stuff and all sorts of crafting things. And the kids have a couple of shelves each for their things. It is always a bit messy here, since the three of us love to have several projects going on at the same time! I recently changed the table cloth from a messy wax-cloth to a calmer waxed cloth. The old one was cut into smaller pieces and is used as protection when we glue or paint.

Och så mitt fina, fina fönster! Jag är så nöjd med hur det blev. Här får jag inspiration!
