Randig väska - Striped purse

Börsen jag visade häromdagen fick mycket riktigt med sig en kompis i tvättmaskinen. Min söta dotter "tvingade" mig att köpa ett nystan färgglad ull när hon var med mig till garnaffären. Freedom Spirit från Twilleys of Stamford. Jättemysigt att tova. Enda nackdelen var att ränderna blev dåliga om jag stickade för brett, så det fick bli en lång korv istället. 30 maskor på 3,5 mm stickor.

The purse I showed you the other day quite right did bring a friend to the washer. My sweet daughter "forced" me to by a ball of colorful wool when she was with me in the yarn store. Freedom Spirit from Twilleys of Stamford. Really nice to felt. The only drawback was that the stripes didn't turn out well if I knitted it too wide, so I made a long sausage instead. 30 stitches on 3,5 mm needles.

När arbetet mätte ca 40 cm var det dags att sy ihop. Som tidigare lade jag upp med en bomullstråd som pillades bort när jag sytt ihop med maskstygn. Botten sydde jag inte ihop, för jag lyckades inte göra det snyggt nog. Då kunde jag lika gärna göra det efteråt, tänkte jag.

When the work was about 40 cm, it was time to sew it together. As before, I cast on with a cotton thread which was removed once I sewn it together with Kitchener stitches. I didn't close the bottom since I didn't manage to do it neatly enough. So I thought I could as well do it afterwards.

När den var tovad och klar funderade jag länge på hur jag skulle dekorera den. Så kom jag på att jag hade några härvor växtfärgat garn i samma nyanser som väskan. Perfekt! (De är mer lika än de ser ut på bilden.)

When it was all done and felted, I had to think about how to decorate it. And so I remembered that I had some skeins of vegetable dyed yarn in the same colors as the purse. Perfect! (They do look more alike than they do on the picture.)

Nu bor den i min handväska och är fylld med plåster, handkräm, värktabletter och lite annat som brukade ligga i en enda röra i väskan förut. Jag tycker den blev riktigt söt!

Now it lives in my handbag and is filled with patches, hand cream, painkillers and some other things that used to create quite a mess in my bag before. I think it is really pretty!
