Nåldyna - Pincushion

Jag har två nålbrev där jag förvarar knappnålar och nålar. Eftersom jag bär med mig dem när jag sätter mig någonstans och virkar/stickar så finns de sällan på rätt plats. Det vill säga där jag befinner mig just då. Därför bestämde jag mig för att göra en nåldyna som ska stå på vårt pysselbord. Är tanken. Vi får väl se hur lång tid det tar innan jag bär iväg med den...

I have two pachets of needles where I keep my pins and needles. Since I carry them along when I sit down elsewhere to knit/crochet, they rarely are where they should be. Which means at my location at the time being. So I decided to make a pincushion for our crafting table. That's the plan. We'll see how long it will take before I carry it away...

Jag hade tänkt limma fast den på locket av en glasburk, men när jag stoppat den full med vadd var botten alldeles för rund för passa bra. Så jag lät helt enkelt nåldynan ersätta locket. I burken finns lite trådar, inte för att jag behöver förvaringen egentligen utan mest för att jag är lat. Lådan med sytråd står ju nästan två meter från platsen där jag sitter. Men det är ju fint också!

I was meaning to glue it on the lid of a glass jar, but once I filled it with wadding the bottom was too rounded to fit properly. So I simply let the pincushion replace the lid. I keep some thread in the jar, not because I need the storage really, but mainly since I'm lazy. Why the box with sewing thread is standing almost two metres away from where I'm sitting. But it looks nice too!

En del av knappnålarna hade redan fina, runda hattar. De flesta inte. Så då limmade jag fast plastpärlor på hattarna. Det är roligare att sy när man har fina redskap.

Some of the pins already had nice, round hats. Most of them not. So I just glued some plastic beads on top of their hats. It's more fun to sew when you have pretty tools.
